A pressure lubricated air compressor pump uses an oil pump to force lubricating oil to all of the friction points. These points include the rod journals, wrist pins and piston skirts. A splash lubricated air compressor pump uses dippers fastened to the connecting rods to splash lubricant to these areas. Pressure lubrication is generally recommended for severe applications, such as high duty cycle or high ambient temperature conditions. Most air compressors use splash lubrication.
7.5 HP Two-Stage Horizontal 80 GL Tank Air Compressor
Saylor-Beall Compressors are BUILT in America, St. Johns, Michigan.
Great, old school pump, disc valves and large cast iron pump turning at a low RPM, which equates to longer life.
SB also uses Eaton Magnetic Starters (which are optional) and Hubbell Industrial Pressure Switches.
The motors are either Baldor and sometimes they interchange with Lesson Motors on their 5 hp, 1-phase packages (But they normally stick with Baldor).
You cannot go wrong with Saylor-Beall.
